Kaziranga National Park: Kaziranga National Park in Assam is famed for its one-horn rhino or unicorn. The park, which has recently celebrated the 100 years of survival of this celebrity animal in Assam, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Assam. Kaziranga National Park is perched on the banks of the Brahmaputra. It is filled with dense tropical forests, marshes and tall elephant grass.
In 1905, when the rhinos in the park were on the verge of extinction as poachers and hunters had reduced their number to a paltry 12, an important step of saving this behemoth animal was taken and the park was converted into a reserve forest in 1908. The park was given the status of a wildlife sanctuary in 1940. In the year 1974, it was given the status of a national park. In 1985, Kaziranga National Park was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site. Today, Kaziranga National Park is recognized for serving as a home to largest population of rhinoceros in India.
No doubt, the one-horned rhino is the prized possession of this park. But, there are other animals also in the park that attract a lot of tourists attention and interest. Some of the animals that can be spotted in the Kaziranga National Park are elephants, wild boar, pythons, Indian bison, leopard, sloth beers, capped langurs, hog deer and tigers.

Day 06: Delhi Jaipur ![]()
By Surface: 253 Kms/ 05 Hrs*
Have an early breakfast and head for Jaipur. After reaching Jaipur, you will check in at the hotel and then get on the board for sightseeing tour.
Jaipur - The origins of the beautiful city of Jaipur can be traced back to the 18th century. During this period, Jai Singh II has ascended here the Amber throne in 1699. Jaipur, today, embodies the spirit of Rajputana. In-spite of growing into a bustling metropolis, it still retains its character and history - A beautiful fusion of the yesteryears and modernity. Widely recognized as the Pink City because of the extensive use of the locally abundant pink plastered stone which was so painted in honor of the visit of the royal consort of Queen Victoria, Jaipur is most visited for its invincible forts, splendid palaces, rich temples and verdant gardens.
City Palace - An entrancing mix of Mughal and traditional Rajasthan architecture, the City Palace covers one-seventh of the area in the fortified city. It is constituted of the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.
Jantar Mantar - This is the biggest and the best conserved of the five observatories constructed by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. The observatory boasts of outsized astronomical instruments which are still in use.
Hawa Mahal - The intricate facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone with plastered pink hues are beset with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace is built with 953 niches and windows. Erected in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.
Your overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 07: Jaipur Ranthambhore
By Surface: 180 Kms/ 03 Hrs*
Have an early breakfast and get ready for an Elephant Ascent to the Amber Fort.
Amber Fort Palace - Amber is the traditional romantic Rajasthan fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in the year 1592. However, it was completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. The palaces sturdy exterior is in absolute contrast with the elegant interiors that exemplify a fine fusion of Mughal and Hindu architectural styles.
After finishing, you will be driven to the Ranthambore. After you reach here, you will be served your lunch. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a Jungle Safari.
Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, at the junction of the Aravalis and the Vindhyas, is a unique example of natural and historical richness, standing out conspicuously in the vast, arid and denuded tract of eastern Rajasthan, barely 14 kilometers from Sawai Madhopur. Get in tune with nature for a luxury holiday in the heart of the jungle. Ranthambore is arguably one of the best places in the world to spot tiger in the wild. The Ranthambore National Park has had more Tiger sightings than any other National Park in the country. Owing to this, the place has earned a sobriquet of "The land of the Tiger". It is this place where most of the documented footage of this majestic beast has been recorded.
It extends over a highly undulating topography that ranges from gentle to steep slopes; from flat topped hills of the Vindhyas to the pointed hillocks and sharp ridges of the Aravalis, from wide and flat valleys to narrow rocky gorges. An important geological feature the Great Boundary Fault where the Vindhya plateaus meet the Aravalli hill ranges meanders through the Reserve. The National Park is surrounded by Chambal Rivers in the south and Banas Rivers in the north.
In the evening, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 08: Ranthambhore
In the morning, you will again head for the Full Day Jungle Safari. You will carry your Breakfast and Lunch with you. Take delight in full day game viewing inside the Jungle.
Ranthambore forest falls into the category of tropical dry deciduous forests. It has been further classified as Dhok climax forest because of the predominance of Dhok (Anogeissus pendulla) found nearly everywhere. Dhok is an extremely hardy tree. It can withstand prolonged droughts. The leaves of this tree are good fodder and they are browsed by herbivores, and form a significant part of their diet. Even the dry, fallen leaves, eaten by them, are rich source of nutrition.
Tiger, at the apex of the food chain, lord over the kingdom in a subtle way. Solitary by nature, it operates in stealth. Therefore tiger sightings, frequent as they are, are always a matter of chance. However, even evidences of tiger's activities are very exciting. ![]()
Ranthambore is a home to other kind of cats too including Leopard (Panthera pardus), Caracal (Felis caracal), Fishing Cat (Felis viverrina), Leopard Cat (Felis bengalensis) and the Jungle Cat (Felis chaus). The two species of Antlers that are found here include Spotted Deer (or Chital) and the Sambhar Deer. Two kinds of Antelopes, namely the Indian Gazelle (or Chinkara) and the Bluebull (or Neelgai) also reside in this park. Now, transformed into a quiet town, it houses a large number of Khajuraho temples which were built during the Chandela period between 950 and 1050 AD. Almost intriguing as the sheet beauty and the size of the temples is the question of why and how they were built here as Khajuraho is isolated, 1000 years ago as it is even today. The temples boast of Indo-Aryan architecture and depict images of gods and goddesses, warriors and musicians, real and mythological animals and in great detail - women and sex.

By Surface: 260 Kms/ 05 Hrs*

The amazingly short span of 100 years, from 950 AD - 1050 AD, saw the completion of all the temples, in an inspired burst of creativity. Today, of the original 85, only 22 have survived the ravages of time; these remain as a collective paean to life, to joy and to creativity; to the ultimate fusion of man with his creator.
